Artist notes: Conceived for a Motorsport Digest cover by publisher Tom Gregg, "On Angel's Wings" was an opportunity to combine aviation and drag racing art. Gary took a ride with the Angels... I wonder if they'd ride with him? The Auto Club-sponsored funny car was also the inspiration for the giant funny car float that raced down Colorado Boulevard in the 2001 Rose Parade. |
