"Memories of El Mirage" Artist's Notes: As a kid I remember seeing the black and white Tom Medley photo of the Pierson Coupe in Hot Rod Magazine. It jumped off the page and smacked me in the face, saying "I'm BAD!". The epitome of the dry lakes racer, I just had to do it up right. I basically just "colorized" Medley's perfect photo, adding a little action with some dust off the wheels.Time trials are still held by the SCTA (So Cal Timing Assn.) at El Mirage Dry Lake, just east of Los Angeles in the Mojave dessert.
