Artist's notes: This was commissioned by publisher Tom Gregg for a Motorsports Digest cover to commemorate the grand opening of Irwindale Speedway. The Jim Williams owned and built track is spectacular. Its VIP suites seem to hang in the sky, high above the paved oval below, and offer an incredible view to those fortunate enough to gain access.
